Successful partnerships: Professor Dr. Tian Kaiyu joins us for the courses on 22 – 23 February
We are delighted to announce a great new collaboration for Acu-Med Acupuncture School! In the framework of our partnerships with prestigious universities of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the February courses will benefit from the presence of the distinguished Prof. Dr. Tian Kaiyu.

Who is Prof. Dr. Tian Kaiyu?
Professor and licensed doctor of medicine, Prof. Dr. Tian Kaiyu Tian Kaiyu is a renowned specialist in Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture, with over 30 years of experience in the field. In addition to his teaching work, he also contributes as a professor at the School of Acupuncture and Tuina of Henan University of Chinese Medicine and as a consultant doctor at the No. 3 Hospital of the institution, actively contributing to the development and application of the most advanced acupuncture techniques.
Professor Tian obtained his bachelor’s degree from Henan University of Chinese Medicine, and later furthered his studies with a master’s degree in acupuncture at the same institution. He has made a significant contribution to the field of traditional Chinese medicine not only in China but also internationally, collaborating with hospitals and medical centers in Sudan, Saudi Arabia, Switzerland and the United States.
Clinical and academic experience
In addition to his teaching activity, Prof. Dr. Tian Kaiyu has extensive clinical and research experience, being involved in multiple international projects to promote acupuncture. Its expertise covers a wide range of areas, including:
- Acupuncture and Moxibustion
- Chinese herbal medicine
- Innovative acupuncture techniques
- Suction cup therapy and Gua Sha
He is the author and co-author of over 40 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals and has contributed to several international textbooks on acupuncture. Among his works are translations of reference manuals in Chinese medicine, aimed at facilitating the understanding and correct application of traditional techniques by practitioners around the world.
