Severe headaches
In all cases of severe headaches, the main point to be used is Li.4 (Hegu) by strong stimulation. In parallel, a needle is inserted in the Du.20 (Baihui) point which has a sedating action on the pain and the patient. Depending on the localization of the pain, the following additional points will be used:
a. frontal headache :
- – local points: Ah-Shi points, M-HN-3 (Yantang), GB.14 (Yangbai)
- – distal points : ST.44 (Filee) or ST.43 (Xiangu), with strong stimulation
