Short history of TCM for Facelift
Facelifting with acupuncture techniques dates back to the Tang Dynasty (7th century, IH). The Tang Dynasty was an era of great prosperity, characterized by luxury and beauty. Facial ‘lifting’ skills were developed to improve general health, which had the happy side-effect of reducing the signs of ageing.

In 1974 the Chinese government, at the end of the Cultural Revolution, blessed the “birth” of cosmetic acupuncture. This occurred about 2 years after Nixon visited China. In 1989 Dr. Wu published a book, along with other colleagues in the acupuncture field, on “beauty culture”, which was one of the first textbooks to systematically discuss acupuncture and Chinese medicine and its effects on beauty culture(Practical Application of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine to Beautyculture , Dr. Jamie Wu , 1989 )……
